To strengthen the aura

An excellent way to extend and strengthen your aura is to improve the working of your chakras. If you are not familiar with the chakras and their relation to this practice, I suggest you read Pocket Guide to Crystals and Gemstones, by Sirona Knight. It should be noted that, although the external location of the root chakra is between the genitals and the anus, for the purpose of this exercise, we treat the root chakra as if it were found at the soles of the feet.

If you have someone you trust intimately, invite her to help you with this rite. Intimacy is important because it is just about necessary to be sky clad in this rite. With this chant, cast your circle and erect the temple as normal, except, instead of channeling energy with an athame, scatter salt as you visualize the creation of your circle, and smudge with very liberal amounts of protection incense.

With the circle cast, lie down with your face to the sky or ceiling. It is a good idea to incorporate a comfortable sleeping pad or even a bed into this rite if you have the space. If you are working with a partner, have her anoint your chakras. If not, anoint them yourself. In either case, use the soles of your feet as the root chakra. If available, anoint the chakras with corresponding chakra oil. If any of the seven different chakra oils are not available, substitute almond oil for all of the oils. If working with a partner, have her follow a modified version of the chant. "Aura strong and aura bright You're guarded with protective light." If you are working with a partner, have her continue the chant as she places stones on each of your center five chakras and on the floor just beyond your root (feet) chakra and crown (top of the head) chakra in accordance with the following chart:

Continuing the chant, you partner should use the stones to massage each of the chakras. Starting with the feet, she should lightly rub the stones in a clockwise movement. As she works her way to your crown, she should alternate the direction of the circles with each chakra, visualizing the energy moving up from each of the chakras as it begins to spin with her motion. As more and more chakras spin, see the energy rising from your feet and looping between the chakras.

As this energy leaves your body at the crown chakra, see it rise from your head and then cascade down your body in all directions, as if you were a standing fountain. At your base, see the energy re-enter the body at the feet. As you continue this meditation, your partner can open the temple as normal, or you can once you have completed the meditation.
